  • In 1999, both Hobb and George Millican won The Hamrell Prize for excellence in Robotic Engineering Award.
  • He was born in the city of Tunbridge Wells.
  • He received a BA Hons in Computer Science from Cambridge University in 1973 and a PHD in Robotics from University of Oxford in 1977.
  • He was a professional Research Associate at University of Oxford.
  • In 1985, he joined the Synthetic Research Department at Elster Laboratories, where he helped develop the first humanoid synthetic prototype. However, he departed the project some months prior to the release of the first mass-produced humanoid synthetic.
  • It was 6 years before S2, that he began working for the government on classified business aka. finding the Elster's.
  • If he hadn't gone into the sciences, he would have maybe become a Wine Maker.
