A colleague of Laura's tells Laura about a woman who filed for a claim of human rights violation against a theater that had kicked her and her synth out. Mrs Kennedy claimed her synth could feel and think like a human and was enjoying the performance. Although Laura's company dismissed her claim, Laura was intrigued and went to follow up on her claim. Mrs Kennedy's synth displayed no abnormal behavior as he was not a conscious synth and Laura told her she had no claim. Mrs Kennedy told her that they couldn't just call synths gadgets as they had made them more than that.
